Alta definizione (HD)

L’alta definizione (HD) è una tecnica che comporta la “cucitura” (stitching) di più fotogrammi scattati su un unico soggetto per creare un’unica immagine finale, come avviene solitamente nelle panoramiche, il risultato permette di ottenere fotografie ad altissima definizione e una resa del dettaglio molto precisa. Attraverso l’ingrandimento di tali immagini sono infatti leggibili particolari e dettagli che ad occhio nudo non possono essere apprezzati. E’ questo un elemento ottimale per chi come il restauratore potrà esaminare nei minimi dettagli l’opera, il suo stato di conservazione e la tecnica esecutiva.

High definition is a technique that consists in “stitching” several stills of a single subject to create one final image, as usually happens in panoramic views, the result allows to obtain photos with a very high definition and accurate range of detail. By zooming into these images you can see every single detail that you couldn’t appreciate with human eye. This is an excellent element for people like the restorer who will be able to examine the smallest details of the work, its conditions and the execution technique.
